Since sensor technology relies on circuitry for measuring the level of whatever is being observed, the SelectConnect process is an optimal technology for incorporating such circuitry into the system apparatus. 

Rather than having separate circuit boards or similar electrical sub-assemblies, the circuit path can be created directly onto the sensing device, thus allowing for more design flexibility to create sensing systems that have limited space to function.

Sensor packages can be designed to stack ASIC chips and MEMs devices using LDS circuit traces to connect the layers.
